Culture, Nature & Adventure Photography

Nature has always been a great inspiration for me, I have been passionate about it since childhood. I still remember the times that I acted like a researcher and ran after butterflies and months when I was just 10 years old. These passions lead me to enroll in a project which resulted in a handwritten booklet about butterflies while still at high school.

This project was recognized for the young environment symposium 2001 organized by the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka. Through this, I met many of the good people who have dedicated their lives to wildlife conservation and people who are involved in research; this was an eye-opener for me.

Despite all this, I ended up as a software engineer. However, fate brought me back to nature. I was fortunate to work for IUCN (The International Union for conserving nature and natural resources) for a number of years as an IT officer where I got the opportunity to work with all the Leading Conservation Specialists positioned in Sri Lanka and Southeast Asia.

Ten years from then I have stories to tell and share. This website is my message board to share my stories through the undeniable power of a photograph.  As a self-thought photographer, I am proud of my achievements. I treasure the friends I have made through photography and traveling.
