Welcome to Niyophotography.com, where my lifelong passion for nature unfolds through the lens of professionalism. From my early days chasing butterflies in Sri Lanka, crafting a detailed booklet on their diverse species during high school, to being recognized at the Young Environment Symposium 2001 by the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, my journey into wildlife conservation began.
Despite initially pursuing a career in software engineering, fate led me back to my true calling. Back in 2006, I had the privilege of serving as an IT officer at IUCN, collaborating closely with leading conservation specialists across Sri Lanka and Southeast Asia. This experience broadened my understanding and deepened my commitment to preserving our natural world.
Now based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, I continue to capture compelling stories through my lens. As a self-taught photographer, I take pride in the friendships forged and the moments immortalized during my travels.
